How to apply Feather Extensions
Feather hair extensions can be applied to either side of the head at various locations in the hair. For best results, place feather extension at a minimum ¼" below ones natural part in hair to conceal the crimp beads. After determining the desired location of feather extensions grab a few strands of ones natural hair so that when the hair is placed inside of crimp bead, crimp bead will be half full of hair. While hair is in hand, wet the hair strands with water and twirl the hair together all the way to the roots. Thread twirled wet hair through the crimp bead and bring crimp bead as close to scalp as possible. Grab feather extensions by the tail end and thread the feather's end through the crimp bead so that ½"of the feather is threaded into the bead. Crimp the bead down with a pair of pliers. Cut the excess portion of the feather extensions above the bead.
How to Care for and Clean hair feathers?
Feather extensions can be shampooed, flat ironed, curled, and blown dried. As hair grows, the feather extension will move further down ones scalp. One can adjust the location of the feather extensions when this occurs. To adjust the location of the feather extension open the crimp bead by using crimp pliers to squeeze the crimp bead open. Once the crimp bead is open the feather extension can then be slid further up the hair line and crimped again with pliers. Please note crimp beads are not designed to be opened and closed frequently.
