How to Take Care of Eyelash Extensions

Eyelash extensions applied with Stays-On-Glue are virtually carefree but there are a few precautions one should take in order to gain the maximum performance of their lash extensions. Below are a few of the best practices when wearing eyelash extensions.

  • It is OK to clean around your eyes when wearing lash extensions but be careful not to use any oil based products around the eyes as it can loosen the Stays-On-Glue bond.

  • It is OK to use makeup remover and mascara with your eyelash extensions but they must not be oil based. All though most makeup removers and mascara are not oil based some are and one should avoid using these products around the lashes.

  • All though not common, some individuals have very oily hair and lashes. If your hair is oily more than likely so will your eyelashes. Those with oily hair should occasionally apply additional glue to the lash extensions by coating the lashes and holding them down with tweezers to avoid any loosening of the eyelashes.

  • Be careful not to rub your eyes excessively. Rubbing eyes can cause undue stress on eyelashes and the extensions may fall off prematurely.

  • If you notice your eyelash extensions are separating from your natural lash, apply a little Stays-On-Glue to a micro brush and coat the affected area with some lash glue. Let glue sit for a few seconds then using a set of tweezers squeeze lashes together and hold for 2 seconds. Lashes will re-bond together.
